Melanie Ewerlin, born in 1983, studied physics at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum and the University of Sussex in Brighton (UK). She received a graduate degree in 2009 with a focus on experimental solid state physics. During her PhD, which she successfully completed in 2013, Melanie Ewerlin focused on the study of the interaction of magnetic nanostructures and on the investigation of magnetic nanoparticles.
Since 2013, Melanie Ewerlin has been working in the firm in the field of intellectual property. While training as a patent attorney, she simultaneously studied law for patent attorneys at the FernUniversität in Hagen. She was admitted as a patent attorney in May 2017 and has since been advising her clients in all areas of intellectual property law.
